Inner Beauty

Inner Beauty

I wander in a sea of darkness,
Yet a ray of light I do behold.
Your beauty shines a beacon,
To follow I can not know.
I tell myself I love you,
To you I can not speak.
Though my love it is so strong,
My will has up and gone.
Broken by the others,
Who I thought were made for me.
They scorned me with out compassion,
So to you I dare not speak.
Their beauty only glinted,
Like the light upon a mirror.
But yours it shines like a fire,
Within the brightest gem.
My soul is very broken,
I wish to have you make it mend.
Yet even though I love you,
I shyly sit alone.
